The former president's Family Member Receives Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf Debut

Emerging athlete getting ready for major tournament

The rising star boasts substantial social media audience

Kai Trump will have multiple high-profile backers when she begins her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.

The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses numerous courses worldwide and often matches against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she revealed.

Kai explained that Trump, who won't be present, advised her: "Just stay calm."

"He basically suggested to go out there and relax," she added.

"To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."

While still amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments recently and holds position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

But she can get advice from 15-time major champion, who is dating her mother.

"He is the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's a superior human being. He told me to go out there, relax, following the flow."

She'll challenge several top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, featuring second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Officials commented that involving Kai helps introduce golf to wider groups, especially reaching the next generation.

Kai has substantial online presence and has started her own clothing and lifestyle company.

The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
