The loved ones of teens missing after a devastating fire at a venue in a Swiss alpine town are confronting an excruciating wait for answers and requesting any details about their children publicly.

The blaze engulfed the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of January 1st. Verified footage depict the roof structure catching alight as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have indicated that it could take an extended period to formally name the those who perished of the fire, which resulted in the death of four dozen individuals and injured another 119. Officials noted on the latest update that the majority of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts still underway to name the other six.
