The loved ones of teens missing after a devastating fire at a venue in a Swiss alpine town are confronting an excruciating wait for answers and requesting any details about their children publicly.

The blaze engulfed the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of January 1st. Verified footage depict the roof structure catching alight as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have indicated that it could take an extended period to formally name the those who perished of the fire, which resulted in the death of four dozen individuals and injured another 119. Officials noted on the latest update that the majority of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts still underway to name the other six.

In the waiting period, loved ones have been taking to the internet to request information about their loved ones who were in attendance that evening.

Desperate Searches for the Missing

The location of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are currently unknown, according to an heartfelt request from his mother.

The Italian Golf Federation has said that he is dead, without directly referencing the tragedy, honoring a "talented young man who embodied dedication and authentic values."

His parent, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around midnight. An official spokesperson has clarified that a official announcement of his death is awaited.

Further Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also among the missing. His mother said that he had been on holiday but had gone out with friends and found himself at the bar.

"A close friend said they fled after the fire started and that he had his phone with him, but then at a certain point he lost sight of him," she explained, adding he had been wearing a identifiable gold chain.

One of his educators commented, "I've always been struck by his kindness and smile, combined with great responsibility. He would frequently offer to get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Swiss and Greek nationality but lives full-time in Switzerland, was also present on that night, according to reports.

Her sibling has posted an appeal on social media, saying the family has had "no updates" regarding the teenager or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.

Officials from her country of origin say they are actively engaged with the developments.
